Objective

To visualize the performance of each of the three speakers (woofer, mid-range and tweeter).

Test Procedure

1. The speaker was fed with a white noise signal.
2. A 56-microphone array was used to capture acoustic pressure data close to the speaker surface.
3. Data was captured for 6 seconds.
4. Acoustic pressure, normal acoustic intensity and surface velocity were reconstructed on the speaker surface.

Results

The following two screenshots show the reconstructed acoustic pressure distribution at 430 Hz and 1230Hz respectively in front of the speaker, clearly showing the position of the woofer and the mid-range speaker.
